If you have a passion for teaching people about safe firearms ownership and use, then SGR wants you to be a part of our Instructor Team. Sacramento Gun Range is seeking a Firearms Instructor to join our training department. SGR trains over 7,000 students a year in a multitude of classes ranging from introduction to firearms, personal protection in the home and CA Concealed Carry. A minimum 2+ years of experience as a certified firearms instructor is required for this position.
SGR is the 3rd largest indoor gun range in the country within an $1 Million, housing a retail store over 3,500 sq. feet and 37 shooting lanes. SGR hosts and supports over law enforcement and military professionals. We are a growing Range.
The firearms training team is a core part of the value SGR brings the public, law enforcement and our members. We are seeking the right person to fit into our training team. The ideal candidate will have a background with significant teaching or public speaking experience. SGR always instructs from a position of experience and success, thus we expect our instructors to have the real-world experience to profess from when educating our students. This position requires working weekends.
Compensation for this position is dependent on experience. The salary for this position is a base of between $40,000 to $45,000, or if part time $18- $22 per hour, plus bonuses based on exceeding monthly minimum training hours. Typical instructor annual take home exceeds $55K+ for this position.
